Yes, I know this has been out for ages. It was sent in, misplaced, lost in a server crash…basically whenever this record has been around PT Towers something has gone very wrong. I think it’s probably carrying some kind of virus that will end humanity. It’s cursed I tell thee!
Anyway, I’m going to do my lazy writer impression and state straight off the bat that Neck sound a little bit like Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys. There’s a Celtic influence and for that reason pretty much every review you ever read will have these two bands mentioned. That’s not a bad thing as ‘Come Out Fighting’ is energetic, aggressive, ballsy and isn’t afraid to say what it thinks. The socio-political message contained within the lyrics is a breath of fresh air and the band manage to get their anti-racism stance across far better than bands like The King Blues. It’s not all serious though as the band re-tell tales of partying and antics at festivals and it’s enough to make you get your Irish jig going. If you enjoy Irish-influenced punk rock then Neck are the band for you.
