Open Disregard – Black and Blue

By paul

I’m going to be lazy and sum this up with a quick review. This is decent old school American punk rock. It’s like the Leeds Bombed Out scene circa the beginning of the 21st Century. They’ve played with the likes of Milloy and while not as good, there are similarities in approach if not in sound. It’s DIY, it’s passionate, it’s ’emotional’. It’s pretty good stuff that won’t set the world alight, but if you like this kind of thing you will certainly like Open Disregard. Me? It’s not what I’d usually listen to and it’s not the type of thing I’ll probably listen to again, but you’d have to be a fool not to realise there’s a bunch of decent tracks on offer here.
