Seasons – ‘Seasons’

By Jess Tagliani

Bedfordshire quintet Seasons have been turning heads since the release of their debut single ‘Sailed Ships’. Wrought with huge riffs and a head-turning chorus, this band carried on riding their wave of success by following up with their huge self-titled EP.

Single ‘Sailed Ships’ is a staggering way to start the EP and it demonstrates that Seasons start as they mean to go on. Catchy hooks complement a melodic structure of riffs, bringing the huge ‘Rumours’.  Then there’s ‘Seven Years’, which allows frontman Grant Tuffs to showcase his flawless vocal range; his voice swells and roars over the quietly powerful riffs, truly lifting this track and setting it up to be a quick and firm favourite.

Seasons sign off their debut release with ‘The Runaway’, another track that comes with a hard-hitting chorus, consistent drum work, and big riffs. All in all, Seasons have come swinging onto the scene with this EP; they’ve come armed with an arsenal of heartfelt lyrics that make up some huge, sing-along choruses. With a sound that nods to the likes of Young Guns and Mallory Knox, it’s not difficult to envisage Seasons taking this scene by storm and quickly.
