Smaller Than You – Idea In Your Head EP

By paul

Smaller Than You played a bit of good, old fashioned ska and this, their final and farewell EP is a reflection on how well they must have developed and played over the years. Consisting of 5 tracks the EP is the sextets’ third release in 5 years is pretty impressive for those who are still so young. Having called it a day so they can go and ‘grow up’ this EP is one to be proud of. Creating that classic ska sound, STY blend strong walking basslines with familiar time changes with a good bit of brass. I think there’s even a bit of politics thrown into the lyrics for good measure.

The EP moves easily from track to track and sounds professionally recorded and produced. All of Smaller Than You‘s EP’s are available for free download so if you like a bit of ska i would recommend you give them a listen. You can even chuck them a couple of quid for the CD’s if you fancy.
