Sunday at Fest was go big and go home, and boy did we do that. We started our day finding Josh still on our floor, and after a quick nap and a laze about watching The Breakfast Club (hey we can chill out a bit on Sunday, bands didn’t start till 4!) we were ready for PBRbreakfast and to get busy again. Sunday is always a sad day at Fest, on one hand your body is practically dying from 4 days of no sleep and all the partying and on the other hand you are sad because this is the last day of what is always a brilliant weekend. Saying goodbye to friends and going back home is really quite shit. We caught a lot of good bands on Sunday though. Loosey’s played host to a whole loads of great British bands and we watching Calvinball, Throwing Stuff and Bangers perform to awesome crowds that evening.
We know we say this every year but Fest is a very special weekend. It’s not just about seeing masses of amazing bands over the space of 4 (or 3) days, it’s about the people that go and the whole atmosphere. Every band you will watch that weekend will have a crowd that is so excited to see them, there is never a bad set (we’ve never witnessed one anyway) and everyone is just so positive about the punk scene, friends and life. THAT’S US GETTING EMOTIONAL ABOUT THIS ALL. We’ll see you next year Gainesville, stay Rad.
