Day Three was a bit weird this year. We’re all so used to three days of Fest that you’d wake up thinking it was the start of the last day and be a little depressed and then realise that you have a whole other day after this and question how you will live. We lived by heading straight to Mother’s for breakfast and beers (start as you mean to go on). You could see a lot of tired faces on Saturday morning which had all vanished by the time we’d got to Iron Chic. We’d like to give a shout out here to 8 Seconds and their BRILLIANT Margaritas. At $5 they continuously saved our asses all weekend, they were magical and delicious. Lots of great bands played on Saturday and from Iron Chic onwards we were partying hard (in different places, Mat and Maryam can’t be in the same place at once which they were sad about). RVIVR were Maryam’s highlight, Mat had a good kick in the face during United Nations. We’d like to take another moment here to mention how much Mat Stokes got injured: a kick to the eye, a kick to the face and multiple cuts from swimming in the sea. He returned to Ithaca looking like he’d been at war.
Saturday ended with a party in the lobby of the Holiday Inn which involved lots of drunk punks playing covers on an acoustic guitar, one of those punks was Andrew Cream (who played at the same time as Timeshares during actual Fest, we’re sorry we missed you Andrew!). There was a beer fight and we showed up to this all in our pyjamas. It must have been a good night because we woke up with Josh from Dude’s Night passed out on our floor.
