The University of California at San Diego’s student cooperative, The Che Café, is well-know for hosting an eclectic collection of shows. This January night saw a group of mostly acoustic acts ranging from pop punk to indie pop to jazz pop. Free Kittens & Bread front man Chase Spruiell appeared doing his solo acoustic sets under the name ‘Half Man.’ Touring the western US with Half Man was nulti-instrumentalist Sam Howden. Playing his first show, Buckley’s Angel is the alter ego of Ash Williams guitarist Michael Kelly. Rounding things out were the ensemble The Last Minute and singer-songwriter Cameron Royce.
