2000trees Festival adds more bands in second announcement this week

By Ben Tipple

Having already confirmed headliners Refused and Twin Atlantic, as well as Moose Blood, While She Sleeps and WSTR via Daniel P Carter on BBC Radio 1 last Sunday, 2000trees have now added a further twelve bands to the already stellar bill.

Palm Reader, The Smith Street Band, Max Raptor, Blood Youth, Kagoule, Trash Boat, Beasts, Black Foxxes, Muncie Girls, Tigercub, Bellevue Days, Jim Lockey will all play on Upcote Farm near Cheltenham from the 7th to the 9th July 2016.

“This is 2000trees’ 10th anniversary so I’m very happy to say that without doubt we’ve booked our strongest ever line up,” says festival organiser James Scarlett. “Twin Atlantic played for us way back in 2010 so to have them back as headliners in 2016 will be very special. And Refused are without doubt one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen so their Saturday night set will be something not to be missed. Bring it on!”

“One of the best things for me about 2000trees is how much the bands seem to love it. A lot of them stay for the entire festival and the number of campfire sets that take place across the site is ridiculous! Camp Reuben is my favourite – in the past I’ve seen Arcane Roots, Frank Turner and loads of others get up and play Reuben covers into the small hours. Awesome!”

Here at Punktastic we have a particular soft-spot for the festival, which has in the past consistently proved itself one of the highlights of our year.
