Taken from the My Chemical Romance website: “Receiving these (MTV) nominations also means that we will be attending the awards show in Miami on August 28. This makes things very complicated. You see, we are scheduled to perform at Leeds Festival in England on August 27. This is impossible to do both, so we have been racking our brains trying to come up with a solution to make both this band and our fans be able to enjoy that weekend. In the past we have seen bands cancel shows we wanted to be at, and that made us be able to know we cannot cancel the show in Leeds. Alas, we have come up with the solution. We are going to play Reading and Leeds on the same day. We will be in Leeds playing on the Main Stage at 12:00 and then we will travel to Reading to play our show that night. We hope this is the best way and we also hope that all of you who had planned on seeing the band play will still get to.”
