Bad Ideas share new track, ‘Give Up’

By Ben Tipple

Only a week after unveiling ‘Lighting Fires and Making Mess’, Lincoln indie-punks are back with ‘Give Up’. Both tracks follow 2014’s ‘The Better Parts of You’ EP, avialable via Paper + Plastick and Uncle M.

“I started last year in pretty bad shape and was living between friends houses as I moved back from Leeds to our home town, Lincoln,” vocalist Sam Cook says of the autobiographical track. “After New Year’s celebrations had petered out, I was sat in our bassists’ lounge feeling rough in many ways, and wrote what became ‘Give Up’, helping me to draw a kind of mental line under things.”

Bad Ideas will be touring mainland Europe alongside The Lion & The Wolf, as well as playing two UK shows.
