By Ben Tipple

Croydon alternative four piece Bellevue Days have a lot going for them. Their combination of alternative indie and grunge, citing the likes of The Xcerts and Brand New as influences, has began turning a fair share of heads.

Building on the momentum, Bellevue Days are now preparing to release their debut EP, entitled ‘The Sun Came Up When We Were Young. In anticipation, the band have unveiled on of four new tracks on the record, ‘Capability, Capacity’.

“I wrote the basis of ‘Capability, Capacity’ on my brother’s crappy classical guitar and then took it to the rest of the band to see what they thought,” frontman Alan Smith explains. “Joe had some lyric ideas inspired by a book he’d read called ‘Junkie’, and it all came together pretty smoothly. With Jason Wilson producing what is our first studio track we’ve created something that we are really proud of. Hopefully people will enjoy what we’re doing.”

‘The Sun Came Up When We Were Young’ will be available from the 27th July.
