In case you aren’t on the Black Peaks bandwagon yet, it’ll be last year’s ‘Glass Built Castles’ that will do that job for you. The stunning track has been leading the band’s charged since it emerged, and rightly so. Its jarring switch from an all-out sonic onslaught to restrained Jeff Buckley-esque vocals is remarkable, pushing the band’s willingness to mess with technique to the forefront.
It’s not surprise therefore that Black Peaks have revealed a brand new video for the track ahead of their debut album release, with ‘Statues’ hitting shelves on the 8th April through Easy life / Sony RED.
“‘Glass Built Castles’ was one of the first songs we wrote when we were in session writing ‘Statues’,” Black Peaks explain. “It was one of those tracks that came together in about 3 hours and practically wrote itself. ‘Glass Built Castles’ is part 3 of a 4 part story that is pieced together on the album. In the new video you will get a glimpse at part of this story. All will become clear soon!”
Black Peaks have just finished the first leg of their UK run, which continues in March alongside Palm Reader and Toska.
