It is probably too early to call it a confirmation, as it definitely wouldn’t be the first time a band member has gone on record confirming the release of an album that failed to materialise (‘Chinese Democracy’ anyone?). Still, blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has posted a tentative confirmation on Instagram.
In the comment on a picture of Barker drumming for Antemasque, he also “confirmed” the release of a new album by the supergroup of sorts, also featuring Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala of At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta. Barker also promised two new Transplants EPs and a solo album.
How much of this actually does come through remains to be seen. We’re probably being too sceptical.
