Submitted by Cal: “BLINK 182 are to cover THE CURE at a one-off event in LONDON. Hosted by Marilyn Manson, the pop-punk stars will perform at MTV Icon (September 17). The ceremony is intended to feature performances and testimonials from artists and celebrities who have been influenced by the band, their videos and their music. The Cure will also play live at the event. Blink 182 are fans of the band, and their single ‘All Of This’ featured guest vocals from Robert Smith. More performers will be announced in the coming days. The event will be shown on MTV Europe from October.”
