Bowling For Soup detail release of new album and ‘final’ UK tour

By Mike Scott

Texan pop-punk food enthusiasts Bowling For Soup have released news of their upcoming album, but also plans for their upcoming UK shows to be their final dates on these shores, nearly 20 years into their career.

The new album is called ‘Lunch. Drunk. Love’ – and singer Jaret has stated he thinks it should make up for the decision for an October tour to be the band’s last:

“We’re all excited about the future and what’s next. Honestly, it opens up the whole world for us! If you’re a fan of Bowling For Soup, this really is better news than it seems. You may not be seeing us in person as much, but you’re definitely gonna have more new songs.”

If you plan to catch the band whilst you still can, the dates are:

09 Oct – Union Chapel – London (Acoustic)
10 Oct – Guildhall – Southampton
11 Oct – UEA – Norwich
12 Oct – Rock City – Nottingham
13 Oct – Manchester Academy – Manchester
14 Oct – O2 Academy – Leeds
15 Oct – ABC – Glasgow
16 Oct – O2 Academy – Newcastle
17 Oct – O2 Academy – Sheffield
18 Oct – O2 Academy – Liverpool
19 Oct – O2 Academy – Birmingham
20 Oct – University – Cardiff
21 Oct – O2 Academy – Bristol
22 Oct – Pavillions – Plymouth
23 Oct – Hammersmith Apollo – London

Details of both the new album and buying tickets for the tour are up at http://www.bowlingforsoup.com
