Boys Night Out set to return with new EP

By Glen Bushell

Remember Boys Night Out and how great they were? Well, they have confirmed that they will be releasing new EP titled ‘Black Dogs’ later this year. The Canadian band initially broke up in 2007 after a slew of releases, including the excellent ‘Make Yourself Sick’ and ‘Trainwreck’. The band reconvened last year to work on the new EP, which will be released on Good Fight Music in 2016. Guitarist Jeff Davis offered the following statement about the release:

“The title ‘Black Dogs’ is a metaphor for pain, addiction, depression. It follows a concept that those negative aspects of the psyche are separate from the individual, and are carried around as an external being or unwanted friend– a black dog.”

No date has been set for the EP’s release, but in the meantime, the band have posted a trailer which can be seen below.
