Acoustic singer-songwriter Casey Bolles has unveiled his cover of ‘Chocolate’ by The 1975, ahead of the release of ‘Manhattan’. The three track EP will be completed by his own takes on ‘Such Great Heights’ by The Postal Service, and The Mountain Goats’ ‘Going To Georgia’.
“I wanted to release this cover EP while I’m writing my first LP,” Bolles explains. “I had a lot of fun recording these songs for a couple days with my good friend (and the producer of my first EP Freshman), Jay Zubricky in my hometown, Buffalo. Manhattan is a series of covers that Jay and I recorded over the summer, with artwork by another friend of mine, Chelsea Beck. This EP sounds different from anything I’ve done before and from what I plan to do, so I hope people enjoy this departure from my original music.”
‘Manhattan’ will be available from the 22nd January 2016 via Pure Noise Records.
