Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) passes away

By Glen Bushell

Chris Cornell, best known for his work with the legendary Soundgarden, has sadly passed away aged 52.

In a statement to The Associated Press, Brian Bumbery said that his passing was “sudden and unexpected,” on Wednesday night in Detroit.

Cornell was the vocalist for Soundgarden from 1994 to 1997, and then again when the band returned in 2010. He also worked with former member of Rage Against The Machine as Audioslave, and released a number of solo albums.

Our thoughts go out Cornell’s family at this time.
