Derek From Defeater Launches Pledge Campaign For New Hip

By Mike Scott

Derek Armchambault, of Defeater and Alcoa, has launched a Pledge Music fundraising campaign, to help with the cost of a hip replacement surgery. Derek has had significant issues with his hip for some time now, which has prevented him from touring. To fund the surgery, Derek and Alcoa have recorded a new EP, entitled, ‘Thank You’, which is available digitally for a minimum donation of $5. Other exclusive items available include a limited edition Alcoa T shirt, a physical CD version of the EP (limited to 200 copies) and 50 hand screened posters featuring lyrics from Defeater’s ‘Letters Home’, handwritten by Derek.
