FIDLAR take on Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’

By Ben Tipple

FIDLAR are the latest in a line of bands to take on the defining Beastie Boys track, ‘Sabotage’. Originally revealed back in May as a tribute to Adam Yauch, the track is now about to see an official single release.

“I grew up listening to the Beasties ever since I was a kid,” vocalist Zac Carper explains. “They infused all different styles of music to make it their own. I grew up in a very small town and Beasties were kind of like escapism. They totally changed my life and made me want to start playing music. I just moved into a new space and I figured the best way to break it in was to record a cover of one of my favourite songs I listened to growing up. It is the BEST song to play live.”

FIDLAR recently wrapped up a European tour including a raucous sold out London show. The band will be playing a number of festivals over the summer in the States and across Europe.
