Highlives reveal video for ‘Wake Me Up’

By Ben Tipple

Bristol pop-punks Highlives have revealed the official video for ‘Wake Me Up’. “[The video is] loosely based around the process of a hangover, apathy, and other things associated with being young,” says vocalist Liam Edwards. “It’s intended to be a fun, energetic song for people to relate to.”

The track is taken from the band’s ‘Misguided Youth’ EP, which premiered on Punktastic back in December.

“‘Misguided Youth’ discusses being young and naive, stuck in-between the good and bad temptations of life, and not being the person that you want to be,” Edwards explained upon its release. “This EP for me personally is a reflection upon my own experiences, as well as an interpretation of how I feel other people around me have dealt with and feel about situations, often similar to my own.”
