Jawbreaker stream remastered version of first demo

By Aaron Lohan

Jawbreaker recently shared a remixed and remastered version of their 1989 first demo.

Remixed by J. Robbins and remastered by John Golden, the demo features songs that would go on to feature on splits and compilations the trio would release. Earlier this year the Seattle emo punks reformed and played their first shows in over twenty one years. They have stated that they’re currently trying to write new music.

If that wasn’t enough, later this week, UK screenings of the band’s documentary ‘Don’t Break Down’ will be happening later this week. Directed by Tim Irwin and produced Keith Schieron, who had previously released the 2005 Minutemen documentary, ‘We Jam Econo’, the film is over decade in the making. It recounts Jawbreaker’s history before, during and after their career. It also features interviews from Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett, Steve Albini and more. It’ll be presented by London based label/promoters Everything Sucks Music. You can find more info here.
