Laura Jane Grace will release a memoir entitled ‘Tranny: Confessions of Punk Rock’s Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout’ on the 15th November 2016.
Penned in collaboration with Noisey Editor Dan Ozzi, the book is set to feature personal insights alongside the narrative of her role in punk outfit Against Me!.
“The book mixes narrative about Laura’s life — growing up with dysphoria and playing in our generation’s most influential punk band — with amazing journal entries she’s been keeping since she was a kid,” Ozzi tells Entertainment Weekly.
Since revealing her true self in 2012, Laura Jane Grace has become an inspirational icon in the transgender community. The almost-autobiographical Against Me! record ‘Transgender Dysphoria Blues’ speaks openly of struggles faced by those in the community, a message Grace has continued to voice since.
