Nobody ever really knows what Brand New are up to. Last year their surprise new track ‘Mene’ brought with it rumours of a new album. Perhaps unsurprisingly, that didn’t materialise. Instead the band left ‘Mene’ as a stand-alone, opting instead to release their leaked demos properly towards the end of the year.
Just over a year since ‘Mene’ appeared, Brand New now look set to drop another new track, ‘I Am A Nightmare’. All we know at this stage is that there are 30 seconds tantalisingly hanging around over on Amazon. The full track looks set for a 20th May release (that’s this Friday!).
Only time will tell whether this is part of a new album, or part of a Brand New release schedule that sees a new track drop once a year.
