When Moose Blood unleashed ‘I’ll Keep You In Mind From Time To Time’ back in 2014, few could have anticipated just where the band were headed. Almost two years later, the Kent four-piece have broken into the UK album chart top 10 with follow-up release, ‘Blush’.
It’s a pretty momentous occasion for the British underground scene, with the band helping to prove that commercial and alternative aren’t mutually exclusive. ‘Blush’, despite its unashamed nods towards the pop scene, remains very much the sound of the counterculture.
Sandwiched between Wild Beasts and Bob Marley, and sharing the top 10 with the likes of Adele and Coldplay, Moose Blood are firmly on the upward trajectory.
We’d expect that this chart placement might finally convince frontman Eddy Brewerton of their success, having told us in a very recent interview that he still couldn’t quite believe they’ve made it this far.
To find out what we made of the record, check out our review, as we send our congratulations to the unstoppable Moose Blood.
