MSRY release debut single ‘Bloom’ and announce tour dates

By Ashwin Bhandari

Oxford metalcore act MSRY released their first single, ‘Bloom’, via Spotify.

This is what frontman Kial Churcher had to say about it.

“Bloom’ is the first song MSRY recorded, Keir (drummer) had written the music and I had to get some feelings off of my chest about a breakup. The lyrics aren’t meant to be the typical ‘You broke up with me, fuck you’ kind of mundane bullshit that is showcased after a relationship breakdown. The lyrics are intended to display compassion towards the other party, and while possibly never having the chance to have closure in the matter, you remain defiant in your well wishes to that other person so they can continue to blossom as a flower into a personality, and themselves while you yourself can look back on it and build yourself into a person again.”

The band will be going on tour from July to October, with their first show also being a music video shoot for the single.
