Possibly some of the most exciting news we’ve heard in a while: Basement are back. The band have announced they will now be an active group and look to be playing shows this coming summer. The band mysteriously tweeted “Hi”, sending their huge fan-base into speculation before officially posting a statement on their Facebook.
Tour announcements flooded in this week. We’re stoked to tell you that we’ll be hosting Nai Harvest on a Punktastic Presents show at the Black Heart in London in March as part of the release tour of their new Topshelf/Dog Knights EP, ‘Hold Open my Head’. Main support comes in the shape of noise pop duo, Playlounge. Check out the title track from Nai Harvest’s EP below.
Other announcements included The Swellers, Lit, Nails and Bring Me The Horizon’s one off show at Wembley Arena in December.
Cleveland’s Cloud Nothings announced their new album ‘Here and Nowhere Else,’ to be released March 31st through Wichita Recordings. In support of the release, Cloud Nothings will be heading out on a huge UK and European tour kicking off in May and finishing at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound in June. Slam Dunk finally released the dates for this year’s festivals. The day long music fest will be hitting Leeds, Wolverhampton and Hertfordshire on the following dates this May:
The festival also released a statement with info on the upcoming band announcements and ticket sales (it’s 14th February if anyone’s stuck for a Valentine’s day present).
Paramore dropped the video for their latest single, ‘Aint It Fun’ this week. The release sees the threesome setting out to break the most world records in a music video, from feathers caught in 30 seconds to the fasted time to run through 10 barriers. Check it out below.
Two years on from reforming to their original line up, Chiodos have announced what they’ve been working on. The band’s new 13 song album, called ‘Devil’ will be available on April 1st. Have a watch of a stream for advance track ‘Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now.’ We can’t wait to find out the inspiration for this one.

As well as being announced for Download, The Used have posted a music video online for their new single, ‘Cry’. Taken from their forthcoming album, ‘Imaginary Enemy’, due to be released in April through Hopeless Records, it’s a mighty good listen.
Frank Turner announced his tour supports this week in the forms of Ducking Punches and Andrew Jackson Jihad. The two will join Frank on his run of EU dates this February and March. Flogging Molly and Beans On Toast are on the road with him for the set of UK shows, starting in Cardiff THIS Thursday.
In other Ducking Punches news, the Norwich folksters streamed three songs from their forthcoming album. The tracks can be heard here but only for a limited amount of time so get listening!
