Not Katies have officially split up. “Lets start by saying that we’re really sorry to anybody who’s into us and has been wondering what the hell has been going on with Not Katies the past year.. we basically took a kinda unplanned hiatus. This happened for a number of reasons which are mostly boring and lame. No one fell out, we all still talk all the time.. it’s more that Not Katies just wasn’t working for us anymore and now a year down the line we’ve decided that rather than pretend that the band is gonna work out, it’s best that we just call it a day. So yeah.. I guess you could say we’re ‘splitting up’. Although it doesn’t so much feel like splitting up so much as moving on. There’s plenty of good news though! We’ve got one last show on the 31st of March at The Joiners in Southampton… it’s going to be amazing! We’re gonna play some old songs and make it the best damn NK show there ever was! It’s not the end of music for any of us. Rich and Luke have a new band in the works. Ewan and Nick are working on something in London and Si is rocking his band: Young Guns. oooh and don’t forget ex-NK-man Neil’s amazing band: Chin Music. Also… we really want to leave you guys something as a way of saying thankyou to anybody that has supported us. So we’re gonna post some demos on our myspace page soon, put loads of unseen photos on this site as well as a couple of videos that never got used… basically give you everything we’ve got left. Hey… we’re not kidding.. we really really appreciate everybody that liked us and helped us over the years. Thank you so much and pleace leave us comments on myspace if you wanna say hi/bye. We had so much fun doing this band and we’ll never forget what an awesome experience it’s all been.”
