Leeds one-day festival Outbreak Fest have added Milk Teeth, Drug Church, Survival and Broken Teeth to complete their 2015 line-up.
The latest additions join headliners Title Fight, Basement, Cold World, Turnstile and more on the 3rd May 2015.
Festival organisers have also announced a venue change, following the closure of previous venue, The Vox.
“In January we received the unfortunate news that The Vox our home for the past two years would be closing its doors permanently.”
“With very few other venues in the city that would work for a festival like this we found ourselves struggling to find a replacement space to host the event. At the time Canal Mills wasn’t somewhere we were able to consider so we were left with no other options than to go ahead and move the fest to Control a club on the outskirts of Leeds. A few week ago we were back in touch with Canal Mills and with the date now available decided it would be a much better suited space for the show. Spread over two rooms and a large outdoor area moving to Canal Mills means we can really include all aspects of hardcore culture into the fest. There will be around six different food vendors serving street food with vegan and vegetarian options with everything from burgers, pizza, humous and falafel to hot dogs, curry, coffee and cake all locally based. There will be a record and zine fair right on site featuring labels from all over the UK and America as well as a mini ramp for anyone who skates and a small art showcase (more info on this soon).”
“The venue also has lots of seating and tables where you can rest and hang out with friends in-between bands. Moving the fest to Canal Mills really allows us to retain the DIY feel the fest has had since it started and despite its size still feels very intimate. The venue is actually around 10 mins closer to the train station and all hotels (just 5 mins away) than Control is. In fact it’s pretty much as close to the city centre as you can get. There is a small car park right outside and on street free parking all day long.”
“We are very excited about our new home and are relieved to be working with a venue with the same ethics and open mindedness as us. We will post the final line up poster later this evening.”
