Oxygen Thief releases “You Are Welcome Here” t-shirts in wake of Brexit

By Ben Tipple

Oxygen Thief has responded to the recent rise in xenophobic and racist abuse across the UK with the release of “You Are Welcome Here” t-shirts.

The rise in hate-crime has been attributed to the recent outcome of the UK’s EU Referendum, which saw 52% of British voters opt to leave the European Union.

“It would be nice to send out a friendly message to anyone feeling uncomfortable at the moment,” Barry Dolan, the man behind Oxygen Thief, announced. “However you voted in the referendum, if you’re unhappy about displays of intolerance in our society, hopefully this shirt can provide a positive message to those feeling unwelcome at the moment.”

All profits will be donated to Stop Hate UK, a charity supporting victims of hate crime.

You’ll have to be quick to grab a t-shirt, which can be purchased here.
