Bowling For Soup are celebrating their existence with an innovative karaoke competition. The first official Bowling For Soup Online Karaoke Contest asks fans to take on their favourite track by the band, in the hope of winning dinner with the band backstage at a show of choice during the February 2016 How About Another Round Tour, as well as as autographed guitar (UK only).
Second place will win an autographed guitar plus a video message from the band (UK only), with autographed CDs and photos available for third, fourth and fifth.
Here’s vocalist Jaret to explain how to get involved.
1. Set your camera up and press record as you sing along to a BFS song of your choice.
(You can either sing along karaoke style or lip sync.)
2. Make it fun! Use props if you want to.
3. Download THIS SHORT VIDEO and add it to the end of your video.
4. Upload your video to YouTube with the title “BFS Karaoke – [insert song title] by [insert your name]”.

5. Don’t forget to post it on Twitter too! Include @bfsrocks, #BFSkaraoke, and your YouTube link.
All entries can be viewed at the Bowling For Soup website. The most watched video will win, so entrants are encouraged to be creative as possible. Contest ends on the 10th January 2016.
That’s not all. Bowling For Soup are also celebrating their back-catalogue with a series of lyric videos, starting with ‘Cody’. The lyric videos were created by fans during the ‘Songs People Actually Liked – Volume One – The First Ten Yeas 1994 to 2003’ Pledge campaign.
