Reading and Leeds Festival isn’t just about the music. With headliners Foals, Disclosure, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy set to take to the Main Stage, joined by the likes of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, State Champs, Basement, Black Foxxes, Thrice, Creeper, Milk Teeth, Modern Baseball and countless more across all stages, you might be forgiven for thinking it is.
But then there’s the Alternative Stage, playing host to an eclectic mixture of stand up comedy, cabaret, performance art and conversation. With today’s announcement led by Russel Howard and Bill Bailey, the line-up also features Andy Parsons in conversation with Owen Jones, Lee Nelson, Cassetteboy vs DJ Rubbish, as well as Grandmaster Flash and DJ Yoda taking to Leeds only.
So if you want to take a break from the musical acts around the site, this is your chance. Although some of them are musical too. But you get the gist.
