Sadtastic, our all-dayer at London’s Old Blue Last, is drawing ever closer. Headlined by Simmer in celebration of the release of their debut ‘Paper Prisms’ LP, we’ll also be partying for other reasons.
We’ll be celebrating the release of Swindon five piece Rain’s debut EP, ‘Symphony Pains’ out via Close To Home Records. Debut single ‘Slur’ has received high praise as well as being championed on Daniel P Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show. The record sees the band lean towards the gazier side of grunge and helps add to the haziness of their aesthetic.
With a handful of weekenders and mini-tours under their belts, Rain are already making a name for themselves for all the right reasons. Rain have seemingly accomplished with their debut what many bands take years to achieve. They’ve perfected their craft and carefully honed in to find their feet.
The band are performing at Sadtastic in London on Saturday and will have records for sale with them.
Sadtastic is free! If you’re wondering what to do with your Saturday, come and get sad with us.
