Skating Polly have confirmed their return to UK shores, taking to five towns and cities in June. It marks their first trip over since supporting Babes In Toyland last year.
To celebrate the announcement, the ugly-pop duo have unveiled the video for ‘For The View’, taken from this year’s ‘The Big Fit’. “I wrote ‘For the View’ after panicking pretty badly at a hardware store, Peyton Bighorse explains. “For me it’s about being out of my element and not handling it very well, but sort of making fun of myself.”
Speaking to Punktastic last month, Kelli Mayo said of the album: “It’s about not worrying about fitting in. You can make things fit you however you want. Double XL t-shirts are aren’t made to fit me, but they fit for me. On the record all of the songs don’t sound alike. Because they are so different they fit in a weird way, like XL t-shirts. There are no rules.”
