Sleepwave, made up of Spencer Chamberlain of Underoath and Stephen Bowman, will be releasing their debut album on September 15th via Epitaph Records. The first track to be revealed from ‘Broken Compass’ is the electro infused melodic ‘Through The Looking Glass’.
Based on the initial track, Sleepwave are likely to draw comparisons to some of the later Linkin Park material alongside the heavily referenced Filter, although Chamberlian’s distinctive vocals provide an extra level or originality. There’s even the occasional hint of atmospheric veterans Deftones.
