Slow News Day #7

By Tom Aylott

Billy Talent

Last weekend we were so busy watching Billy Talent and going to Warped Tour that we didn’t even have the time to give you the weekly update on what we’ve been up to. So, with the hope that you’ll forgive our sins, here’s what’s happened in the last week condensed into some teeny tiny paragraphs.

It’s been a pretty hectic news week, so we’ll try and keep it brief;

Over the weekend, Gnarwolves posted their video for ‘Party Jams’ online, Spotify launched a web version of their music streaming client, Deaf Havana and We Are The Ocean were announced as supports for You Me At Six’s Wembley Arena show and Hundred Reasons launched pre-orders for their 3 LP ‘Ideas Above Our Station’ anniversary box set.

On top of that State Faults signed to No Sleep, Crowns were announced as support for Dropkick Murphys in the new year, Pentimento put their album our for free and The Bronx detailed the release of their new effort. If that all wasn’t enough, King Prawn announced that they’re set to return to the UK’s venues next year, The Gaslight Anthem announce another UK run, Deftones announced their 2013 UK tour supports and The Story So Far announced a UK run. That wasn’t even half of the awesome shit that happened this week, so keep an eye on our News page at all times to keep up to date!

Over in reviews, we took a look at the new efforts from Major League and Lipona, and we also posted our live reviews of Every Time I Die and Billy Talent‘s London shows. We also introduced everyone to Losing Sleep, and put up a shitload of galleries from Fest 11.

Phew!

Next week, we’re launching some excellent new features to Punktastic, and in the slightly longer term we’ve got a Punktastic Presents… tour or two to announce before the year is out… and what?
