Spotify have launched an official merchandising system, teaming up with Topspin Media to launch ‘Artistlink’.
Prerequisites for the service are a free account, and Spotify will review submissions from “anywhere on the web”. Check out the introductory video below, and head to spotify.artistlink.com to sign up.
Whether this is the coming of a whole new artist / Spotify relationship is unclear, but it’s certainly a move that should be welcomed in terms of analytics and being able to see benefits that have only been theorised about so far.
