Support the ‘Down With Kerrang’ Campaign

Reading today’s copy of Kerrang I was disgusted to read their ‘review’ of the new No Comply record. Although their score of 3 was reasonable (but incorrect) smart-arse reviewer James Sherry has been shown up for a bit of a goon. Not only has he branded the band ska when they quite clearly are not, but called singer Kelly Kemp a MAN, when listening to the cd would easily prove that Kelly is indeed female. Not only that, but not one single song is mentioned in the review. Which begs the question, which cd, if any, did Mr Sherry listen to? Punktastic is not convinced that it listened to No Comply, instead merely looking at a press sheet and forming a misguided opinion. Today we urge all of our readers to bombard Kerrang with emails pointing out this major faux pas and getting No Comply the recognition they deserve. We have the backing of the band with this and we want to help make a difference. With the header JAMES SHERRY’S NO COMPLY REVIEW both Punktastic and the band want YOU to email the mag to show that the underground scene cares for its bands. Show them up for the fakes they are and let’s give No Comply a fair hearing. Email yourself, tell your friends and spread the word. Email kerrang@emap.com and let’s see if we can make a difference.
