The aftermath…

By paul

So it’s all on the news this morning – that hundreds rioted at Temple Newsam in Leeds last night after setting fire to two toilet blocks. Loads of rumours are flying around that someone died in the violence, a policeman had his nose broken and that dozens were arrested. I just wanted to say thank you to the mindless idiots who had to spoil a wicked day out for 60,000 innocent music fans. Because next year there will be no festival in Leeds. This year was Mean Fiddler’s last warning – and the stupidity of a mindless minority, as usual, have to spoil it for everyone else. I sincerely hope that anyone involved in the violence is proud of what they have done, a selfish and cowardly act that has ruined a brilliant festival for us northerners who usually get the rough end of the stick from visiting bands. I just hope the rumours don’t turn out to be true and it’s all sensationalist journalism…
