This years Leeds Festival will take place at Bramham Park and NOT at Temple Newsam, it has been confirmed today. The festival’s promoter, the Mean Fiddler Music Group, obtained licences for both areas earlier this week. Temple Newsam was the preferred option, although there was opposition from local residents, while the other was a back-up measure. But Mean Fiddler managing director Melvin Benn said today that there had now been a change of heart. His company felt that after listening to the Leeds City Council’s deliberations and looking at access routes that “a new site would benefit the event this year and for the future.”
