The Dillinger Escape Plan are notorious for their truly explosive live performance, meaning the idea of them playing a relatively tiny venue is both exhilarating and terrifying in equal measures. Unconfirmed rumours suggest that London’s Old Blue Last is quaking in its concrete boots as news emerges of their ridiculously intimate Reading and Leeds Festival warm up show. It could be the last time anybody sees that venue standing.
The noise-masters will take the small stage on the 24th August, with tickets going on sale today [22nd August] at 15:00 BST.
The band are to release their new album, ‘Dissociation’, on October 14th, before their planned ‘extended hiatus’. They unveiled lead track ‘Limerent Death’ earlier this month, of which frontman Weinman said: “It is one of my all-time favorite DEP songs. I feel that this song is one of the rare instances where all the members are feeling, and conveying, the same energy from start to end. A sharp focused dagger plowing its way through thick heavy walls.”
Thick, heavy walls like the Old Blue Last.
