The truth from 3 Colours Red

By bushy

Just recieved this through the 3 Colours Red mailing list. It makes for interesting reading:

“You may have heard about the Governments recent Licensing Bill proposals to make the performance of live music licensable. This would take effect in pubs and clubs, in places where alcohol is served, in churches, synagogues, mosques and other places of worship, in schools and colleges, in community centres and village and parish halls, and in private homes and gardens where private parties and weddings may be held.

The penalties for breaking the law are a six month jail sentence or a £20,000 fine are quite unbelievable but a reminder that our freedom and rights are slowly diminishing.

Why are we telling you this ?

Simple,
this is a chance for you to make a stand, an online petition has been drafted at http://www.petitiononline.com/2inabar/petition.html and we thought that you would be the kind of person who would take action against this ridiculous proposition.”
