The Wonder Years and Motion City Soundtrack open up about split 7″

By Ben Tipple

We’ve been excited about the split release between The Wonder Years and Motion City Soundtrack ever since it was announced a few months back.

Unlike most splits, the record sees each band tackle the other’s music in a unique way. Having only shared the instrumental versions of songs from the then yet to be released ‘No Closer To Heaven’ and ‘Panic Stations’, Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years and Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack went about writing their own lyrics and melodies to accompany the tracks.

To explain it some more, and offer some insight into the process, Dan Campbell of The Wonder Years and Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack interviewed each other. Here’s that interview.

The tour, completed by State Champs and You Blew It!, is happening now across the States. The Wonder Years then head to the UK in February to support Enter Shikari. Full dates can be found here.
