Tiger Please Breakfast Diaries Vol. 1

By Tom Aylott

We recently caught up with Punktastic favourites Tiger Please to find out what powers their ginormous brand of rock.

Today’s edition is from guitarist Tyla:

His choice of breakfast was the all-time classic carb booster: a fried egg sandwich that he describes as “perfect”.

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering how he customises this truly British experience: First up is the yolk, which he states the ideal as “Not too runny, but not too hard. Just right”. Obviously when talking about eggs, one must take care to ensure the bread is apt – Tyla opted for “White medium cut braces” and finishes off the experience with ‘I Can’t Believe it’s not Butter’ and a “tiny bit of ketchup, but not loads. Didn’t wanna take away the pure taste of the free range egg”. A good breakfast is never complete without a tea, and Tyla is a white two sugars kind of guy.

He’s clearly a man of good taste, and his tantalising contribution to the Tiger Please Breakfast Diaries comes on the same day as the launch of the brand new website of his band’s label, Walnut Tree Records.

Featuring Tiger Please, Burn the Fleet, Cuba Cuba and many more, the website has all previous walnut tree releases with some snazzy free downloads and the first edition of Walnut Tree Records TV.
