Tom Aylott shares new track, ‘Death Spiral’

By Glen Bushell

Tom Aylott has unveiled a new track, ‘Death Spiral’.

The track arrives with the announcement that Aylott has reach 80% of his PledgeMusic campaign to record a new EP.

“The new song is called ‘Death Spiral’ and is the opening track from the release,” says Aylott of the track. “I figured that it was a great one to post up as the countdown begins to yet another major political event; the track covers a bunch of feelings I have about the country / world we’re living in at the moment, and is largely a sarcastic spit about “The Left” being convinced to fight amongst each other and become apathetic while taxes taxes pour into the pockets of the same people that are backing the increasingly nationalist, authoritarian regime that called this election. I’m battling the same apathy and a lot of the song is phrased through that uncertainly and helplessness of feeling that the world around you is heading in a bad direction.”

Tom Aylott has two shows coming up next month, which you can see the dates for below, along with a stream of ‘Death Spiral’.
