Having confirmed the release of their debut full-length, ‘Nothing I Write You Can Change What You’ve Been Through’, Trash Boat have now unveiled the video for the album’s opening track, ‘Strangers’. The lead single features guest vocals from Dan “Soupy” Campbell, who also produced the record.
“Writing songs is my selfish source of cathartic release,” says vocalist Tobi Duncan. “If other people can vibe it and add some weight to counterbalance the rough times in life then I’m even happier, Working with Soupy really helped shape the songs into a debut album that we can proudly release.”
The record also marks the first time Soupy has taken on production duties. “”This was my first time playing the role of the producer and Trash Boat made it easy on me,” he explains. “They work hard, they can really play, they’re passionate and they truly give a shit about the songs they’re writing. This record has weight and I feel like it’s going to be one of the more important debuts the genre has seen in some time.”
To mark the release, Trash Boat will be hitting the road alongside fellow up-and-comers WSTR and Weatherstate. Those dates follow the previously confirmed support slot for Less Than Jake ahead of band’s appearance at Slam Dunk Festival in May. Check out all those live dates below:
