Underoath confirm reunion for Self Help Music Festival

By Ben Tipple

5 years since the release of their ‘Ø (Disambiguation)’ full-length, Floridian six-piece Underoath have ended their hiatus for next year’s Self Help Music Festival.

“This will be fun, just pure fun,” says Aaron Gillespie, who has rejoined the band following his departure in 2009. “So excited to get real closure and give all the peeps the best night ever with my five oldest buddies.”

“I think after the storm settled, we immediately started being friends again. I’m not sure if the ‘stars aligned’ or what,” adds Spencer Chamberlain. “All of our schedules lined up to where we could do this show. I couldn’t be more stoked!”

Underoath began their hiatus in January 2013, following the release of their compendium ‘Anthology: 1999-2013’.

Self Help Music Festival is scheduled to take place on the 19th March 2016 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California.
