The new record from powerviolence/screamo supergroup United Nations ‘The Next Four Years’ is now streaming on Pitchfork Advance. The album is the first since 2008’s self-titled debut album, and like most of their records, the artwork and title mimics a previously notable punk release, this time it being Black Flag’s ‘The First Four Years’ compilation album. The Album is released on July 15th via Temporary Residence.
For those less familiar with the band, it has featured a slew of members from other brilliant bands but with a revolving lineup, always fronted by Geoff Rickly of Thursday, the only member who is not contractually obliged to remain anonymous. Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw contributed to some tracks on their first album, and past live performances have featured Ben Koller of Converge, Christopher Conger of The Number Twelve Looks Like You, and David Haik and Zac Sewell of Pianos Become The Teeth.
