Watch a TEDx Talk on DIY punk and black feminism

London musician Chardine Taylor-Stone recently offered a TEDx Talk in Tottenham, London, on her journey from a working class upbringing to getting involved in the London DIY punk scene and its impact on her in regards to black feminism.

In it, Taylor-Stone discusses the perceived lack of prominent female and black punk icons, and the importance of the safe space generated by the scene. The talk concludes with a performance by her band, Big Joanie.
