Having earned a name for themselves, blending experimental pop-punk with emo sensibilities that has seen them play alongside the likes of Spraynard, Modern Baseball and Moose Blood, Kingston four-piece Losing Sleep are finally ready to unleash ‘Fear Of Missing Out’ upon the world.
Recorded last year with Bob Cooper, and mastered by Brand New and Saves The Day collaborator Alan Douches, the album promises to further showcase the band’s infectious songwriting.
‘Never Told You’, the first track to appear from the record, plays out like self-titled era blink-182 meeting with the modern wave of emo revival, balancing influence with a contemporary sound.
“‘Never Told You’ was one of the last songs we wrote for the record and we’re really excited to make it the first one everyone gets to hear, as it’s a good representation of what to expect from this album that we’ve worked for so long towards,” Losing Sleep say of the track.
“The last two years of the band have been building towards this record being released and we’ve had some great nights and met some great people along the way. We just can’t wait to get it out there and do it all again!”
‘Fear Of Missing Out’ will be available from the 15th January 2016 via Beach Community (digital/vinyl) and Failure By Design (CD). For a taste of things to come, stream ‘Never Told You’ exclusively below.
Losing Sleep will be playing the Beach Community show alongside Hindsights and Apologies, I Have None at London’s Barfly on the 23rd November.
